January 15, is started call for works for participation in the Vth International Short Film Festival "Kharkov Lilac" to be held from 17th to 20th May 2013. This was announced by Co-chairman of the organizing committee of the Film Festival "Kharkov Lilac" Victoria Marenych. According to her statement the International Film Festival "Kharkov lilac" has taken a worthy place among the most interesting and important cultural events of the Kharkov region. 

"A huge number of events that will take place during the festival as well as the growing number of people wishing to take part in our festival suggest that interest in our film festival increases every year. We as the organizers hope that the anniversary festival will live up to expectations of movie lovers and guests of the city of Kharkov, who specially come to attend the event "Kharkov Lilac". We hope that the exhibition and book presentations and workshops will be remembered by the audience," - said Victoria Marenych. 

She stated that during the jubilee festival the existing branches of "Kharkov Lilac" will be prolonged. In addition, moviegoers expect a significant geographic expansion of the festival - in particular, in 2013 among the participants of the Vth International Festival "Kharkov Lilac" there are filmmakers not only from Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Germany, but also film directors from Spain and the Arab countries.
